Kristal is the current Mrs. Washington America titleholder, representing the state of Washington in the nationally televised Mrs. America 2003 pageant. As Mrs. Washington, she helps promote organizations and fundraising campaigns that benefit families and communities, such as Children’s Miracle Network and United Way.

She is also a keynote speaker for Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS), church groups, and several other women’s organizations. Kristal is a spokesperson for Fitness Alliance in Bellingham, Washington, and won the Trimspa “Dream Body” award, evening gown competition, and photogenic awards at the Mrs. Washington pageant. She conducts poise and appearance workshops for several pageant systems and has judged numerous local, state, and national contests.

Kristal attended Biola University in Los Angeles, California. She is currently a senior at Western Washington University, studying both Communication and Business. She also earned a certification from the American Association of Christian Counselors. Kristal has experience as a television news reporter on a northwest news channel and makes frequent guest appearances on local radio talk shows such as “Body Talk” and “Real Life.”

Kristal enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Eric, and her three children: Madison (7), Chase (5) and Drew (3). She is active in her church, Christ the King, and leads a weekly bible study for women.
